One-on-One 30"x20" canvas giclée

This is the first of a series of dynamic athletes done in a stylized, color-splash style.  The image reflects the decision point before a basketball player commits to shooting, passing, or driving to the basket against a tenacious opponent.  This picture featured three challenges: 1. selecting a single distinctive one-on-one basketball pose; 2. creating dynamic and flowing anatomies; and 3. devising a workable scheme with splashes of colors.  The original 36” x 24”acrylic on canvas painting was completed in 1994.
