The assets of the first stealth aircraft unit (4450th Tactical Group / 37th Tactical Fighter Wing) fly over a cloud-drenched Nevada desert. A Lockheed F-117A Nighthawk peels away from a formation including a Northrop T-38A Talon, an LTV A-7D Corsair II, and the Wing Commander’s Nighthawk. The F-117A Nighthawk operated from Tonopah Test Range Airport, Nevada, from 1982-1992. The original 48”x36” oil painting was done on canvas in 1990. Engine intake grills and other aircraft details were added in 1991 when more visual information was released on the F-117A.
